Netanyahu's EXIT Countdown? Rivals Push 'EMERGENCY GOVT' Bid; 'Israel's Next PM Will Be...'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces a major challenge to his hold on power after five opposition leaders agreed to back former military chief Gadi Eisenkot as the country's next prime minister. The agreement follows an inconclusive election that left Netanyahu's bloc with 53 seats, the opposition with 48 and Arab-led parties holding a potentially decisive 19 seats. While the opposition has pledged to replace Netanyahu with a national emergency government, disagreements over cooperation with Arab-led parties threaten to complicate the coalition effort. President Isaac Herzog is set to begin consultations as Israel's battle for the premiership intensifies. Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
