Have you ever prayed and wondered, "God, are You even listening? And if You are speaking, why can't I
hear You?" Or have you had a thought in prayer and asked, "Was that God, or just me?" In this Bible
teaching, Pastor Richmond Kobe explains what the Bible really says about hearing God's voice.
We look at what Jesus meant by "My sheep hear my voice" (John 10), why Scripture is the voice we can
always trust, the stories of Samuel ("Speak, Lord, for your servant hears") and Elijah's "still small voice,"
and how Christians understand dreams, prophecy and personal impressions today, with both views
presented fairly. Includes Hebrew and Greek word studies (shama, theopneustos, qol demamah
daqqah, dokimazo), five simple tests for the question "Is it God or my own thoughts?", and honest
answers to hard questions like "Why can't I hear God?" and "Should I wait for a voice before every
decision?"
Not experiencing an inner voice does not mean God has rejected you or that your faith is weak.

A GENTLE CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK
Spend ten quiet minutes with God each day. Begin with Samuel's prayer, "Speak, Lord, for your servant
hears." Read one passage slowly, and write down one truth it teaches, one question you have, and one
practical response.
One passage a day: John chapter ten, First Samuel chapter three, First Kings chapter nineteen, Psalm
one hundred nineteen (verses ninety-seven to one hundred twelve), Romans chapter twelve, Acts
chapter sixteen, and James chapter one.
Tell me in the comments: which passage spoke to you most this week?
