Pioneer SX626s and SX1500TD Stereo Receivers

These were brought to me by a friend of mine for service. One SX626 was purchased in the Cameron Village Flea market in Raleigh. It was in the best condition, though it had a shorted coupling capacitor in the preamp (10V dc was coming out of one of the preamp out jacks!) The other SX626 was an Ebay special. It was in rough shape including 7A fuses instead of 2A fuses to protect the power transistors. Nonetheless, it and the SX1500TD need a good bit of restoration work. I plan to actually re-engineer the power amp a good bit in the SX1500TD. I hope it won't be too long before I can show you what I did, why, and even some measurements to prove what I did was better.
