The Most Spectacular Classic Car Race in the Alps | Bernina Gran Turismo 2026

Switzerland might not have a race track, but at last weekend's Bernina Gran Turismo, drivers were more than compensated with two days of glorious mountain racing on closed Alpine roads. In this feature film we follow the drivers and their cars as they tackle the 52 curves of the Bernina Pass, climbing through some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. From pre-war machinery to sought-after racing icons, this is hillclimbing in its purest form. We go behind the scenes with the people who make the weekend what it is, hear from the drivers who take these precious cars to the limit, and let the engines, the mountains and the sheer theatre of it all speak for themselves. And we discover why Bernina Gran Turismo has become one of the most beautiful motorsport events in the world. #BerninaGranTurismo #Hillclimb #ClassicCars #BerninaPass #ClassicCarRace #HistoricRacing #AlpineRoads #Switzerland #Motorsport #VintageRacing #CarDocumentary #classicdriver Stay up to date with Classic Driver: Instagram:   / classicdriver   Facebook:   / theclassicdriver   Web: https://www.classicdriver.com Host: JP Rathgen Director of Photography: Luca Pieri Pilotti Filmmakers: Szymon Adamczyk, Andrea Furger Live footage: upstream-media Editing: Luca Pieri Pilotti Creative Direction: Jan Baedeker Social Media Manager: Elliot Newton, Thomas Siorpaes © Classic Driver 2026 - All rights reserved
