Episode 2: Moving the 25-Year Barn Find Into The Garage

In this episode, it's finally time to bring home the newest addition to the garage – a classic W116 350se project car that has been sitting untouched for over 25 years! Moving a car that has been abandoned for a quarter of a century comes with plenty of unexpected challenges. Since the splines on the steering axle are completely messed up, we have no steering wheel. Plus, rule number one when dealing with a long-term barn find: DON'T touch the brakes, or they will lock up instantly! Follow along as we use a tractor and straps to pull the car onto the trailer. We also make a quick stop for a much-needed wash to blast off 25 years of dust—revealing a beautiful deep blue color—At home we used a trusty Volvo and straps to tow it off the trailer before fighting a steep threshold to get it perfectly lined up on the garage lift. A personal note: I suffered a stroke a year ago and I am still recovering from brain fatigue. Some days are tougher than others, and pickup day happened to be one of the worse days.
