Falun Dafa Tian Guo Marching Band performs at the archway of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a spiritual practice introduced to the public in 1992, consisting of meditative exercises and a set of moral teachings centered around the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. While it is freely practiced in more than 80 countries, the discipline is suppressed in China as a result of a brutal persecution launched by the Chinese communist regime almost two decades ago.
