Kashmir’s 3rd-Generation Artisan Preserving Traditional Music | Mushtaq Ahmad Dar’s Inspiring Story

Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, a third-generation musical instrument maker from Narbal, Budgam, is preserving Kashmir’s traditional musical heritage. Working alongside his father, Khazir Mohammad Dar, he crafts instruments such as the Rabab, Santoor, Sarangi, Sitar and Saaz-e-Kashmir. His handmade Rababs, crafted from mulberry wood, can take up to a month to complete.
