This FREE PILE of WOOD CHIPS Heats Your Water to 140°F All Winter (No Gas NEEDED!!)

Can a free pile of wood chips really heat your water to 140°F all winter with no gas needed? We put this DIY wood chip water heater claim to the test for homeowners worried about power bills and blackouts. In this video, Lyle builds a simple compost water heater with a wood chip pile and coiled pipe inside, then measures water temperature in and out, flow rate, and heat output in cold weather. We also cover basic off-grid water heating setup, material cost, and winter maintenance. How much did this wood chip pile cost to build? How hot did the water actually get? How long can it hold heat through winter? Is it worth it for backup heat during a blackout? Watch until the end to see the real numbers. What do you use for hot water right now - gas, electric, or wood heat? Subscribe for honest home-energy tests with real measurements. #WoodChipWaterHeater #OffGridLiving #DIYPower #CompostHeat #SaveMoneyOnEnergy
