Zimbabwe Safari Part 2: Bumi Hills, Lake Kariba & Visiting Mola Village

Part 2 of our Zimbabwe safari with African Bush Camps is here — and this one hit different. Our journey continued at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge, overlooking Lake Kariba. The wildlife viewing didn't stop, the boat rides became a daily thing, and we even spent a night aboard African Bush Camps' private houseboat, The Lady Jacqueline. But honestly? The parts that stuck with me weren't about the animals. We visited Mola village and learned about the African Bush Camps Foundation's BOMA project, meeting Chief Mola, his wife, and members of the community. What happened next — the dancing, laughter, and conversations — turned into one of the most meaningful stretches of the entire trip. By the time we left Zimbabwe, we were all in tears. Not because it was over, but because of how much this trip had given us. I can honestly say I'll never forget this one, and it started with saying yes to the unknown. This video also includes a short tribute to our guide, Little Max, who passed away just weeks after our visit. I'm so grateful we got the time we did with him — to learn from him and catch a glimpse of his spirit while we were there.
