You can't outrun Him, you can't surprise Him, and you can't mess up so badly that He walks away. In part four of our series, Who Is God?, Pastor Keith unpacks two attributes that set God apart: He knows everything, and He is everywhere. From Isaiah 53, a prophecy written in the past tense about events hundreds of years away, to the three words in Psalm 139 that change everything ("You are there"), this message shows a God who isn't predicting the future. He's already in it. Then comes one of the most debated questions in Christianity: if God knows everything and is in control of everything, do we really have a choice? Pastor Keith's answer is that God knowing what you will do is not the same as God choosing for you. Scripture: Psalm 139 v.3, vv.7-12 | Isaiah 53 | Galatians 4 v.4 | John 1 v.12 | Acts 13 vv.38-39 | Romans 10 v.9 | Romans 8 vv.29-30 | Deuteronomy 30 vv.19-20 In this message: • What omniscience and omnipresence actually mean, and why they make God so much bigger than the enemy • Why Isaiah 53 describes the future in the past tense, and what it reveals about who God is • Why there is nowhere you can go, even like Jonah, where God is not already there • Why you can't mess up so badly that He abandons you • How God's foreknowledge and your free will fit together • Romans ch.8 vv.29-30 and why God will get the message to the people He knows will respond • Why choosing life in Deuteronomy 30 comes down to choosing Jesus, His Word, and His people ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow us online: Instagram:   / centerbethel   Facebook:   / centerbethel   TikTok:   / centerbethel   Listen to our Podcast:    / faithinculture   Give: https://www.centerbethel.com/give ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00 Introduction, the omniscience of God and Psalm 139 v.3 2:32 Big God, little devil: the enemy cannot know everything or be everywhere 3:28 There is no past and no future in God 5:30 Isaiah 53 read in full: the future told in the past tense 10:03 Ten prophecies in Isaiah 53 fulfilled by Jesus 11:01 God is never predicting the future, He is the future 11:54 Christ slain from the foundation of the earth, God is transcendent 13:35 God's plan in motion: Israel, the Savior, and the church 16:14 Psalm 139 vv.7-12, nowhere you can go that He is not there 18:08 Three words that matter: You are there 19:35 If you are running like Jonah, you cannot get away 20:19 Knows everything, everywhere, in control: the case for predestination 21:40 God has limited His power to your choice 23:33 John 1 v.12, Acts 13, Romans 10 v.9: the early church preached choosing Christ 26:15 God knowing what you will do is not the same as God choosing for you 27:23 Romans 8 vv.29-30 explained 28:22 Why this is good news: God will get the message to you 30:31 Choices, choices: the Holy Spirit helps you choose 32:09 You are one choice, one prayer, from being back on track 32:49 Deuteronomy 30 v.19, choose life 36:28 What choosing life looks like: Jesus, the Word, and the body of Christ 39:18 Invitation for those who do not know the Lord 40:24 Closing prayer #centerbethel #christianliving #christianencouragement #predestination #freewill
