Warrington Parkrun

event 585 - 08/08/2026 I ran Warrington Parkrun in 21:25 and finished 30th. Today everyone was quite chilled and relaxed at the event. It was lovely today... normally when I run this event it's really cold, rainy or both, we don't get any more British than a sudden change of weather and talking about how appalling the weather is. This event is quite flat and there is only one slight incline. Nothing too much again it is busier than expected, there were over 621 runners and 26 volunteers. A huge thank you for the volunteers warm welcome... Warrington is not just famous for IKEA but also their friendliness and openness towards irregular runners. Cheering on Will towards the end. He made it mind over matter. He overtook me several times but ran out of steam when he saw the finish line. I believe he will continue to keep pushing himself.
