The Nine-Hour Candle | A Christian Short Story About a Candle Nobody Wanted - MCG UK

Nobody wanted the misshapen candle. For years, it watched the other candles being chosen for weddings, celebrations and special occasions. But the large, crooked candle remained on the shelf, gathering dust and wondering whether its light would ever have a purpose. Then, one stormy night, a frightened young man entered an old church... The Nine-Hour Candle is an original Christian short story from Melchizedek Church of God UK — a gentle, moving story about purpose, grace, redemption, and discovering that sometimes what God has prepared us for looks nothing like what we once imagined. This story has been written for both adults and children: a story children can understand, but adults can feel. 📖 Scripture: “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 15:10 (KJV) We'd love to hear what you took from the story.
