I Didn’t Expect to Find THIS at the Antique & Vintage Show

Four vintage and antique resellers share one booth at a huge show, and there is almost too much to see before it sells. We are selling at the giant Springfield, Ohio, antique extravaganza, where collectors, resellers, and friends are sharing knowledge, finding unexpected pieces, and sending plenty of vintage home with new owners. Our booth is constantly busy as we show Victorian opalescent lamps, Fenton baskets, MCM bachelor-pad decor, an Italian ceramic Bacchus head, Art Deco Veda bookends, costume jewelry, and plenty of things that are new to me too. The best part is seeing what turns up all around us. We shop with neighboring dealers for everything from wheelbarrows to purses, discover old advertising and Victorian tie-dyes, and meet collectors and other YouTubers who come from as far as Texas. We also deliver a Fenton uranium lamp to an indoor dealer, learn more about Victorian fairy lights and a French enamel box from the 1700s, and talk about silver and silver plate with our booth mates. More than anything, this is what a major antique show really feels like: constant activity, surprising finds, shared knowledge, and people who genuinely love collecting.
