The WORST Super Sedan of the 2000s - Jaguar S-Type R

400 HP Supercharged V8, RWD, Brembos, Luxury...in a 2003 Jaguar?! S Type R - Unloved Since Day 1 🥺 This week I'm driving ‪@JohnDrivesAnything‬'s awesome 2003 Jaguar S Type R. This thing is a super sedan that competed with the legendary Audi RS6, BMW M5 E39 and Mercedes E55 AMG. It's got the right mix of parts on paper, Supercharged 32V V8 revving past 6k, 400HP, Brembos, Staggered Wheels, Mesh Grill, Bolstered Seats...but somehow it managed to lose every single comparison test. Today, these things are still cheap. John paid less than a 2003 Camry or Accord sells for 🤣...or about 25% of what the other super sedans of the era sell for. Is the Jaguar worth considering? Does it stack up in 2026? Honestly, yes. This thing drives amazing. It does the whole GT/dual purpose sedan thing just as well as anything else. Ride is comfortable, it's smooth and refined until it's time to go wild...and don't worry I do this video! It's time to consider the cars that lost the comparison tests. This thing has some flaws but it's a quarter of the price and you can still have just as much fun! ‪@JohnDrivesAnything‬ believes in the loser cars, he has an Abarth and this STR! We are car guys, we need to stick together and turn off the clout chasing that seems to be ruining car culture.
