I took the original video file from the Capcom Special DVD Tokyo Game Show 2003 disk, and used ESRGAN with the Manga109 training model to upscale the videos 4 times its original resolution… This time the results were beautiful. The footage I found in the DVD was twice as big and detailed as the original PS2 opening video file, and there were barely any compression artifacts.
