Extended Interview | Michigan woman recalls surviving 9/11 attacks

Friday marks 25 years since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Four airplanes were hijacked across the country that day. Two of them targeted the World Trade Center in New York City, killing nearly 3,000 people. Alice Mulconry, who lives in Battle Creek, was just two blocks away when the North Tower fell. Mulconry says it feels like it happened just yesterday. "It's constantly with me and everything I do and think and say and am," she said. Mulconry was living in New York City at the time and worked as a writer for the New Yorker Magazine. "It was a beautiful sunny day," Mulconry said. "I had no other expectations other than to get to work." Mulconry reached her office at about 7:30 a.m. Just over an hour later, terrorists hit the World Trade Center's North Tower with a hijacked airplane. Less than 20 minutes after that, a second plane hit the South Tower. FULL STORY: https://wwmt.com/news/local/9-11-terr...
