10/04/26 Jesus is Coming: Produce the Fruit. Luke 3:7-9 (ESV). Pastor Mark Moyer

True repentance bears genuine fruit because false assurance cannot protect us from the coming judgment. In this passage, John the Baptist was more concerned about the souls of people than about offending them. Let’s not confuse religion with repentance. Your knowledge of the Word of God is not what saves you. Putting your trust in Jesus is what saves you. True repentance leads us to Christ. John the Baptist wanted people to examine their hearts and know whether they were close to God or far away from Him. How is your heart? Are you close to Him or far from Him? Have Questions?
