CoastAdapt is a new national platform that connects people with resources on coastal adaptation, including tools, datasets, case studies and region-specific guidance. It is led by the Climate Risk Institute in collaboration with DHI Water & Environment and CLIMAtlantic, and co-funded by Natural Resources Canada through the Climate-Resilient Coastal Communities program.
CoastAdapt is being shaped with regional partners from coast to coast to coast: the Fraser Basin Council and the Indigenous Coastal Climate Coalition on the Pacific coast; the Government of the Northwest Territories, the Nunavut Association of Municipalities, the Government of Manitoba and the Cree Nation Government for the Arctic coast; Conservation Ontario in the Great Lakes; the Comité ZIP du Sud-de-l'Estuaire and the Conseil régional de l'environnement du Bas-Saint-Laurent in the St. Lawrence; and CLIMAtlantic in Atlantic Canada.
The Initial Release of CoastAdapt is now live, and we want to hear from you.
Join us in this webinar for a guided tour of the platform, where we will:
Introduce CoastAdapt
Walk through the platform live, showing how to find and navigate resources
Explain how you can share feedback
This session is for anyone working on or interested in coastal adaptation, including municipal staff, planners, Indigenous and community organizations, practitioners, researchers and decision-makers.
Your feedback will help shape how CoastAdapt develops, so we hope you'll take a look and help us make it as useful as possible for coastal communities.
