Fall Asleep To Every King Of The Hill Character Explained

This King of the Hill sleep video explains every character in the series, from Hank Hill and the Rainey Street household to the alley, the neighbors, Strickland Propane and the 2025 Hulu revival. The video moves through Arlen, Texas, one household at a time, with calm narration meant for falling asleep. Each character comes with their history, voice actor, key episodes and production facts from creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. The video also explains how the revival updated the cast, including retcons and the choice not to recast after two actors died. What's covered in this video A Fox note turned Mike Judge's 49 year old Hank Hill into a 34 year old, and Hank has roots in Tom Anderson from Beavis and Butt-Head. Greg Daniels softened Hank in his pilot rewrite and assigned writers The Death of Common Sense by Philip K. Howard. Hank's medical file includes a narrow urethra and diminished gluteal syndrome, and in "Yankee Hankie" he learns he was born in Yankee Stadium. In the revival backstory, Hank works for Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and later buys 51 percent of Strickland Propane in "Propane Recall." Peggy Hill, voiced by Kathy Najimy, goes from her shaky Spanish and her Boggle title to the skydiving cliffhanger resolved in "Peggy Hill: The Decline and Fall." "A Rover Runs Through It" recast Peggy's parents as Montana ranchers Maddy and Doc Platter. Bobby Hill, voiced by Pamela Adlon, goes from the pilot's child welfare case to the Emmy winning "Bobby Goes Nuts" and a revival career as a Dallas chef. The 1997 Simpsons crossover "Bart Star" brought the Hills to Springfield, and Greg Daniels has said Bobby's Bart doll is the only link between the two shows. Luanne Platter, voiced by Brittany Murphy, loses Buckley in the Mega Lo Mart explosion and stars in the long shelved episode "Pigmalion." Lucky Kleinschmidt, voiced by Tom Petty, marries Luanne, and the revival chose not to recast either role. Ladybird is the Georgia bloodhound named after Lady Bird Johnson.
