New Mission Type: Strategic Object Cover - IL2 Korea - F-84 Gameplay

New Mission Type: Strategic Object Cover - IL2 Korea - F-84 Gameplay Join me in flying the new mission type "Strategic Object Cover" that was introduced in the late September 2026 patch. This patch not only introduced new mission types but also refinements to the Ai so let's see if anything feels different. My take (Based on this sortie and others post-patch): Even though Ai was "Patched", I find that friendlies still fly dangerously close to the player thus creating risks of mid air collisions. They also collide with each other while on patrol. Their ability to positively hunt air targets is still abysmal. They fly around and expense all their ammo but can hardly bag any kills. Enemy Ai bombers were not taking any defensive measures when I was on their "6" and shooting at them, they just flew in a straight line like they did pre-patch. Enemy Ai fighters were properly getting on my "6" and shooting, which is refreshing. The mission success flag for "Strategic Object Cover" is quite unclear because I've run this 3 times and saw different results each time: 1- Got a mission success pop up mid-flight while I was engaging bombers just for it to pop as Mission Failed a few minutes later. 2- Got no mission success/fail to pop up but headed back home injured and landed.. The mission was flagged as successful with 2 air kills, despite the target bridge having been completely destroyed. 3- Target dam was destroyed and only got 1 air kill which resulted in a mission failed. I'm inclined to believe the flag for success is getting 2 air kills but need more testing to confirm it. I also found that the F-84 stays stuck at 200 speed even with gear down, throttle to idle, and air brake out. Definitely looks like a bug.
