Why is Diana Taverner struggling as First Desk in Slow Horses Season 6? Diana has always been one of the most calculating and controlled characters in MI5. But Season 6 is putting her under pressure from every direction. Her decision to appear on television creates a major problem after she makes comments about retaliation and is forced to answer questions about the history of MI5. The interview leaves Diana facing scrutiny from inside the Park while the crisis surrounding former Slough House agents continues to grow. Then Emma Flyte starts questioning Diana's decisions. Flyte challenges Diana over the interview and explains that she followed protocol by informing Jackson Lamb about the deaths of former Slough House agents. Instead of accepting the criticism, Diana removes Flyte as Head of the Dogs and attempts to send her to Slough House. Meanwhile, Jackson Lamb confronts Diana with an even bigger problem: digital Slough House records have disappeared, a physical file has been stolen, and former agents are being targeted. So is Diana actually failing as First Desk, or is she trying to contain a crisis that is much bigger than she understands? This video explains Diana Taverner's Season 6 crisis, her disastrous interview, her conflict with Emma Flyte, Lamb's accusations, and why Diana appears increasingly isolated inside MI5. Spoiler warning for Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 3.
