Moto Guzzi California II — A Windy Autumn Climb, Afterfire Trouble and the Ride to the Lookout

A windy autumn ascent on the California II, where an unexpected burst of afterfire occurred during the climb. Strong headwinds had worsened fuel economy, causing the bike to run low on fuel much earlier than usual. Switching the petcock to reserve restored the fuel supply, and the engine recovered quickly. From there, I continued the climb and reached the mountain lookout under soft sunlight and patches of blue sky.
