In today's video , Mama F.A.R. joined me as we paid a visit to this USPS location to test our freedom to record in publicly accessible areas of the property. We had a few points of contact while on property recording. The main one that stood out came from a couple walking towards the entrance. just as they passed li line of sight, the male asked what we were recording. I turned to see who was speaking to me & at that point, he told me that he didn't give me permission to record them. When I told him it was my camera & I decided what happened with the footage, his rebuttal was, it's my face. At that point, Mama F.A.R. informed him that her camera actually wasn't on until he started engaging in conversation with us. They eventually made their way inside. We entered a few minutes later to see the individual now on his phone. It sounded like he was on the phone with law enforcement dispatch. After he hung up , I informed him about poster 7 on the wall , which gives us permission to record on postal property & he then thanked me, then proceeded into the retail area to conduct his business. On their way out, said to us, have a day. In this instance, I give him credit for seemingly humbling up after possibly being enlightened over the phone to whoever he called. The next point of contact came after I concluded the video, when a trio sitting in their tesla parked next to us appeared to be giving a cam-back. At that time, the passenger in the back seat wanted to know why we were recording. I mentioned that I noticed the front seat passenger was recording us as well. When the rear seat passenger said , you started it. Was this like being in grade school with the you started it, so I'm gonna do it back, mentality? As I attempted to offer the handout on public photography talking points, she rolled up the window & the driver reached over to show us tall man from where is thumbkin a.k.a the 1 finger salute . They drove away moments later without further incident.
Thank you for watching today's video & a shout-out goes to Mama F.A.R. for joining me today. I invite you to comment below with your thoughts on today's installment !
