RUIN - DEAD AIR - OCTAVE FUZZ - PEDAL DEMO

Unhinged octave fuzz collides with a modified HM2 tone stack for a variety of big fuzz sounds. The fuzz portion of RUIN finds its origins in the Foxx Tone Machine, an over the top 70s fuzz with a pronounced upper octave for intense snarl and bite. The original tone stack has been removed, and the fuzz circuit has been modified to add control over the interaction of the octave, allowing it to be more muted or aggressive through the TEXTURE control. With RUIN, every control increases the intensity of the sound in a different manner, and shapes the overall tonality. This results in a unique approach to dialing in sounds and a wider variety of shades of fuzz than one might expect from a four knob pedal. For example, it can be beneficial to experiment with setting one of the controls high, while the others are low, or exploring the full sweep of the ATTACK knob while the TEXTURE knob is fixed at different settings, as they are very interactive. http://deadairstudios.bigcartel.com/p...
