KADA 2018D only Blue Screen Problem | Fix Any Dead SMD Station Using Universal STM32

introduction: In this video, I demonstrate a permanent solution for the common "Dead Display" or "Logo Stuck" issue in the KADA 2018D+ SMD Rework Station. Since the original MCU is often unavailable or unreliable, we are replacing it with a powerful STM32 "Blue Pill" board running custom firmware. What you will learn in this video: . Identifying the 44-pin IC board and 19-pin LCD variant of the KADA 2018D+. . Using an HT1621 display driver as a bridge between the STM32 and the original LCD. . Step-by-step guide on flashing the STM32 using a USB-to-Serial (TTL) adapter. . Complete wiring and jumper settings to integrate the new controller. . Overview of the new features: Custom firmware, iron presets, and optimized sleep mode for longer heater life. Tools Used: . STM32F103C8T6 (Blue Pill) . USB to Serial TTL Adapter . HT1621 (extracted from a PWM frequency generator board) Hardware Prep: i removed the original MCU and bypassed certain points with jumpers to interface with the new STM32 board. Firmware Installation: Using official STM32 STM32CubeProgrammer software and a USB-to-Serial adapter, i flashed the custom binary file onto the STM32. Wiring: used 18 AWG copper wire to make the final connections between the STM32, the HT1621 bridge, and the station's motherboard, following a custom circuit diagram. Feature Upgrades: After the fix, i added that the machine now includes a preset feature for the soldering iron, allowing users to store and quickly jump to specific temperatures—a feature not present in the original setup. This specific firmware is designed for the 44-pin MCU board version. Please verify your board model before applying this fix.
