Why does time speed up as you age? When scientists finally measured it, age turned out to matter far less than almost anyone expects.
Remember when one summer felt like forever? Now the years seem to blink past. In this video we test the oldest explanation, the idea that each year becomes a smaller slice of your life, and look at large surveys that seem to break it. Then we move into the psychology of time and memory: the reminiscence bump, the holiday paradox, the idea that your brain captures fewer "frames" each day, and your internal clock.
The last part is the strangest. A new study links how fast your last ten years felt to something in your own brain, and it isn't what most people guess. We finish with five research-backed ways to make your years feel longer.
Odditheory is a channel for curious minds. We cover brain science, what-if scenarios, space and unsolved mysteries, explained simply. Subscribe if you love asking why.
