Make the Ply-Split "Waves" Braid

The Waves braid is one of 28 projects in my book "How to Make Ply-Split Braids & Bands". Instructions for the Waves Braid are also available separately in PDF format. The step-by-step instructions include 4 pages of text and 8 black-and-white photos. Both are available from my website, www.lindahendrickson.com. The Waves braid is the design that I have been teaching beginners since I started teaching ply-splitting workshops in 1999. It is from Peter Collingwood's 1998 book "The Techniques of Ply-Split Braiding", where two variations are shown in Plate 20. Peter's description of how to make the braid is on pages 77-78.
