Day two: Burns, Oregon to Idaho Falls. About 450 miles, a fully-loaded Royal Enfield Himalayan, and a plan I essentially trashed. Turns out modern mapping software has no interest in keeping this Bug on Route 20, so most of this day was me, a few road signs, and the stubborn belief that following Route 20 east couldn't possibly be that hard. The Himalayan, for its part, did not care about any of this and just kept going — including 80 mph on the freeway. Later in the video I discuss four essential items that are making this trip even better... 00:00 Day 2 — Burns, OR to Idaho Falls 00:23 The plan (and why I'm trimming a day) 01:32 "11 miles of unpaved road" and other glitches 02:49 Into Idaho — now I just follow the signs 03:51 Why won't anything just keep me on Route 20? 05:17 Entering Boise, a city I've genuinely never seen 06:16 The itinerary goes in the trash 06:53 How the Himalayan's holding up — 62.5 mpg 08:11 First real freeway run: 80 mph, fully loaded 11:25 Four things making this trip better 14:41 End of day two Gear that earned its keep today: • Veridian cruise control https://veridiancruise.com/?coupon=bu... • The updated Himalayan 450 kickstand https://www.sabatinomoto.com/ • Seat pad https://www.alaskaleather.com/ (not sponsored) • That little handlebar bag (made it myself — not for sale, sorry) Thank you @sabatinomoto and @royalenfield_na for your support. #RoyalEnfield #Himalayan450 #Route20 #MotorcycleTouring 🍄 Use this link to buy Aerostich gear.
