North Georgia Wild Trout | Fly Fishing with the 10' 1wt Diamondback Ideal Nymph

I headed back to one of my favorite small wild trout streams in North Georgia for a day of fly fishing and wild trout. This trip was also the first time I put my new custom-built 10' 1wt Diamondback Ideal Nymph to work. The rod was a blast on this small water, especially early in the day when the trout were willing to eat. I caught some wild trout early, but as the day went on, the bites became harder and harder to come by. It wasn't a crazy day of numbers, but it was still a good day on a beautiful North Georgia trout stream—and that's what keeps me coming back.
