Transforming the Grounds | New Car Park & Pergola Veranda | Château de Razac

Today at Château de Razac, we continue transforming the grounds around the Manoir as two major areas begin to take shape. We start by moving a large quantity of white hoggin substrate (calcaire) to create a new car parking area in front of the Manoir. The material is tipped onto a membrane, then raked and spread evenly across the area before being compacted and levelled using the wacker plate. To finish the edges of the new parking area, we install oak sleepers as borders, creating a strong and natural-looking finish that complements the stone façade of the Manoir. We then move underneath the newly constructed pergola, where the next stage begins. The wooden borders are filled with concrete, creating the base for what will become the new veranda beneath the pergola. It's another big step in transforming the exterior of the Manoir, with the parking area and pergola beginning to turn the plans we've had for the property into something tangible. From the restoration of the historic buildings to the gardens, driveways and surrounding grounds, every part of Château de Razac is gradually being brought together.
