First lecture in the Machine Learning Workshop series, aimed to build needed fundamentals to tackle Graph ML later. This lecture introduces basic generalities of a basic ML pipeline, introductory formalisation of ML, good data preprocessing practices, and a look into broad types of ML with evaluation metrics.
