Antony House was built between 1718 and 1724 in the Queen Anne style. The house is made of Pentewan stone and flanked by colonnaded wings of mellow brick overlooking the River Lynher.
It is believed to be one of the finest surviving Queen Anne style buildings in the West Country. The port-cochere entrance at the front of the house was added in the 19th century as well as the East wing to accommodate more rooms for servants and visitors.
Most of the art and antiques are owned by the Carew Pole family, who still live in the house today. The National Trust maintain and operate the property for visitors between March to October.
