Gaya Ji Pitru Paksha Mela 2026 – Day 1 🙏 The much-awaited Gaya Ji Pitru Paksha Mela 2026 has officially started today, 26 September. Our journey begins from Gaya Railway Station amid heavy rainfall at around 10:30 AM. From the railway station, we take a TOTO to Chand Chaura, and from there we head towards Vishnupad Temple. We explore the temple area, the newly prepared Satsang Pandal, where bhajans and spiritual programs will be organized every evening. From there, we visit Koop Vedi, see the free Bhandara (community meal) arrangements, and then proceed towards Muktidham and Mukti Dwar. We also explore the historic Vedi located behind Muktidham and explain its significance and the route towards Vishnupad Temple through the city. Finally, we reach the Falgu River, the main area where thousands of devotees gather for Pind Daan during Pitru Paksha. On the very first day, we witness a huge gathering of devotees performing rituals inside the tent pandals. This year, the arrangements have been expanded on a large scale. Tent pandals have been set up from the Rubber Dam through Muktidham up to the old bridge over the Falgu River. Drinking water, RO water, toilets, urinals, cleanliness and security arrangements have been made for the devotees. Our Day 1 journey ends near Sector 18, close to the old bridge.
