This video describes the detailed mechanism of polar auxin transport. As per the chemiosmotic model of polar auxin transport- Auxin influx is influenced by the pmf (proton motive force) while the auxin efflux is governed by the difference in the membrane potential. IAA can enter into plant cells either by the simple diffusion of the protonated form (IAAH) or the secondary active transport of the deprotonated form (IAA-).
