Instead of treating human patients, you’re the new intern at Legacy Animal Hospital, where sick and injured dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other pets need your help. You’ll examine patients, investigate their symptoms, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and use realistic veterinary equipment to treat them. Depending on the case, you’ll perform examinations, give injections, take X-rays, perform surgery and determine the proper treatment before moving on to your next patient. The game features 35 different veterinary cases, three difficulty levels, an in-game PDA with hints and patient information, a medical research library, advice from coworkers and your boss Dr. Maddie, and FMV (full-motion video) sequences mixed with photographs and interactive medical procedures. Your performance matters: Dr. Maddie reviews your work throughout the game, rewarding good decisions and penalizing mistakes.
