Does your child struggle with transitions, waiting, staying regulated, or keeping their hands busy?
A simple Busy Box can be an incredibly useful tool—especially for children with ADHD, behavioral challenges, sensory needs, or kids who simply have a hard time during transitions.
In this video, I’m showing you what I put in a Busy Box, how I use it, and why something this simple can make such a difference.
The goal isn’t just to keep a child occupied. We want to give them appropriate tools before things become difficult.
Busy Boxes can be helpful during:
• Waiting rooms and appointments
• Car rides and travel
• Church or meetings
• Homework time
• Transitions between activities
• Restaurants
• Times when a child needs help regulating or waiting
You don’t need an expensive system or a Pinterest-perfect box. Start small, pay attention to what works for your child, and adjust from there.
Small tools can provide big support.
I believe successfully launching our kids starts long before adulthood. It happens in the little things we intentionally teach, model, and practice along the way. Stay Curious!
