CFS Leitrim is in Ottawa’s south end, which means your housing search can look quite different from someone posted to NDHQ Carling or another DND location in the city. One of the big things I tell CAF members moving to Ottawa is this: figure out where you’ll actually be working before you fall in love with a house. Ottawa is a big city, and your daily commute can make a huge difference. As a 25-year Canadian Armed Forces veteran, I’ve been through military moves myself. If you’ve been posted to CFS Leitrim, NDHQ Carling, Star Top, Pearkes, Uplands or another Ottawa-area DND location, feel free to reach out. Even if you’re still months away from your HHT, we’re happy to help you figure out where to start. Chapters 00:00 Posted to CFS Leitrim?
