LASIK, which stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, is a popular and well-established procedure for vision correction. It involves using a laser to reshape the cornea, the clear outer layer of the eye, to correct refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. How does LASIK work? During the procedure, a thin flap is created on the surface of the cornea, which is then lifted to allow the laser to reshape the underlying corneal tissue. The flap is then repositioned, and the cornea heals naturally, with minimal discomfort and a quick recovery time. What is ICL?: ICL, or Implantable Collamer Lens, is a newer option for vision correction. Unlike LASIK, it does not involve reshaping the cornea. Instead, a tiny lens is placed between the iris and the natural lens of the eye to correct vision. How does ICL work?: The ICL is inserted through a small incision in the eye and carefully positioned behind the iris. The lens is made from a biocompatible material and remains in place permanently to correct vision. Key differences between LASIK and ICL: Now let's look at the key differences between LASIK and ICL. The first difference is that LASIK is a laser-based procedure, while ICL involves the placement of a small lens in the eye. This means that while LASIK is a permanent solution, the ICL can be removed or replaced if necessary #lasik #lasiksurgery #lasikeyesurgeon #lasiktreatment #ICLprocedure #VisionCorrection #EyeSurgery #ImplantableCollamerLens #ICLSurgery #ICLvsLASIK #EyeHealth #VisionCare #LASIKAlternative #Ophthalmology #drabdulrasheed #pixeleyehospital #healthtips #healthvideos #hyderabad Dr.Abdul Rasheed MBBS M.D.(AIIMS), Consultant Ophthalmologist, Cataract, LASIK & Squint Surgeon Appointments contact - +91-7075008561/62, +91-9650463841 Subscribe Us:    / @drabdulrasheedeyecare   Website: https://www.pixeleyehospitals.com/ Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/kQ3ETyDoNytx5...
