In this tutorial, I'll show you how I created this colourful design on a recycled tobacco box.
This design actually started as a mandala I created on a recycled CD. I liked the design so much that I decided to turn it into a tutorial and recreate it on the wooden box.
One of the things that makes this tutorial a little different is that I made my own design shapes. I created them in different sizes on the computer, printed them onto cardstock, and cut them out to make my own reusable templates.
I'll also show you how I transfer the design onto the painted surface using a water-erasable pencil.
As always with NobleArts, the goal isn't perfection. It's about experimenting, creating with what you have, and finding ways to turn recycled and everyday materials into something beautiful.
