Thunder and Lightning Full Documentary | Presented by Akins Ford

Before George’s return to dynasty there were two backs who helped lay the foundation. Thunder & Lightning: The Brotherhood Backfield is the true story of Sony Michel and Nick Chubb. Two elite running backs with one shared goal. One, a five-star phenom from South Florida. The other, a small-town powerhouse with something to prove. Their journeys collided at the University of Georgia, where they became one of the most feared backfield duos in college football history. From high school headlines to unforgettable moments “between the hedges,” this documentary follows their rise.  The brotherhood forged through adversity, the grind of SEC Saturdays, the highs of a Rose Bowl victory, and the heartbreak of a national championship loss. But more than just wins and losses, Sony and Nick helped spark a culture shift that propelled Georgia into a new era of dominance. Expect raw emotion, untold stories, and a front-row seat to the legacy that still echoes in Athens today.
