白梟の修行録、その第一歩は「木簡千字文」から。 木簡の魅力は、なんといってもその飾らない「素朴で力強い線」。 けれど、その自然に見える線を実際に書こうとすると、なかなか思うようにはいきません。 今回は、木簡千字文の最初の十二文字に向き合い、書いては見直し、気になるところを自分で確かめながら、もう一度筆を執りました。 木簡らしい線とは何なのか。 その答えを探しながら、一歩ずつ進んでいく修行の記録です。 完成された技ではなく、迷い、試し、少しずつ変わっていく過程を覗いていってください。 墨が香る梟の森では、書の奥深さを一歩ずつ探究する修行の日々をお届けしています。 Owl Blanca’s Calligraphy Journey begins with the Wooden-Slip Thousand Character Classic. The greatest charm of wooden-slip calligraphy lies in its unadorned, rustic, and powerful lines. Yet when I try to recreate those seemingly natural strokes, they do not come as easily as they appear. In this video, I worked through the first twelve characters of the Wooden-Slip Thousand Character Classic, writing them, reviewing each attempt, examining what still felt unresolved, and then picking up the brush once more. What gives wooden-slip calligraphy its distinctive character? This is a record of my practice as I search for that answer, one step at a time. Rather than a display of perfected technique, I hope you will take a glimpse into the process of struggling, experimenting, and gradually changing along the way.
