We Put 3 Buffalo Trace White Dogs in a Tiny Barrel… Here’s What Happened

What happens when you take all THREE Buffalo Trace mash bills, throw them together in a tiny barrel, and let them ride for two months? Well… we had to find out. For this experiment, we combined equal parts of Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash #1, Wheated Mash, and Rye Mash, then added a cup of Weller Special Reserve to the barrel to help kick-start the aging process. After two months in the tiny barrel, we cracked it open to see what we had created. And honestly? We kinda liked it. But we’re not done yet. We will let it sit in the bottle for a month and come back to see how it finishes. This isn’t a scientific experiment. It’s two bourbon nerds screwing around with whiskey and seeing what happens.
