I started with a Second Class Lower during my Undergrad but ended with Distinction (MSc & PhD)

Contrary to the popular belief that one needs a First Class or Second Class Upper to pursue graduate studies, Ebenezer Agbozo’s story is a testament to the fact that this is not necessarily true. After obtaining his undergraduate degree (Computer Science- KNUST, Ghana), he proceeded to the Ural Federal University, Russia for his Masters in Applied Informatics which he completed with Distinction. He later enrolled in a PhD program in the same institution where he has been a proud recipient of the Dora plus Grant (Visiting PhD Researcher : Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia -2017) and the Governor of Sverdlosk Region Fellowship (2019 & 2020). After working for two years as a Junior Research/Teaching Assistant at UrFU, and later as a lecturer, he currently holds the position of a Senior Lecturer where he teaches masters students and also serves as a consultant on graduate students' dissertations in the Engineering School of Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Control Systems. His research interests focuses on digital government, computational social sciences, ICT for Development (ICT4D), digital humanities, NLP and data analytics.
