I have 289 games on Steam, over 300 if you count PlayStation and Xbox, and right now I’m playing exactly two of them. Yet every Steam sale, I still end up buying more. In this video I dig into why so many of us keep growing a gaming backlog we’ll never finish: cheap Steam sales, yearly releases like Call of Duty, the hype around every new game, and the simple fact that adult life leaves way less time to play than we had as kids. I also talk about choice overload, why we end up replaying old favorites, and the two-game system I’m using now to actually enjoy the games I already own.
