FURPILE: An Arts Depreciation Initiative by Patrick Totally

Outside the Spirit of Pittsburgh ballroom during Anthrocon 2026, 70-or-so bespoke plush lay in a large pile on the floor. They were created by both artists and non-artists for Patrick Totally's sculpture show FURPILE. Unlike most sculpture exhibitions, these plush were meant to be touched, cuddled, or even stepped on (though most people were nicer than that!). After the show's run, a solemn crowd gathered for the Closing Donation Ceremony, where all of the plush were cast off into the unknown of the South Side Flats Goodwill.
