Medlar Loves To Boogie ELTB International 001 Cayman Islands We are very excited to present to you the first in a new series of mixes, ELTB International. We have always had a focus on playing sounds from around the world, now we will be taking the show out from our little London studio and broadcasting from different countries, getting a flavour of their current music tastes, local sounds and DJ culture. Our first destination is… The Cayman Islands! After relocating there recently, we are very happy to have top selector and deep digger Medlar to host this overseas session for us. In partnership with Whale Rider Records, the islands first HIFI bar in George Town, we will be showcasing a short run of shows with Ned and another local selector, playing Caribbeans rhythms associated with the island along with music collected and listened to there. Medlar is well known for a versatile sound that bridges classic House, UK Garage and Disco influences in his productions, with an even broader selection in his DJ sets. Off the back of his 2025 LP Islands for Delusions of Grandeur and a fresh release for Make A Dance, Medlar continues to explore the broad church of sounds as a producer and DJ. His own music, as well as hit tracks he's produced for Ell Murphy and other artists have found their way into sets from some of the industry's most respected selectors. A few words from Ned about this mix below - ''For this mix I wanted to keep the bpms a bit lower and not stick to any one sound, as this is what I’ve enjoyed in other mixes on the channel. I also wanted to include some sounds of the Caribbean and South America as this was recorded at Whale Rider Records, a record store & vinyl bar in Grand Cayman, where I spend a big part of the year.
