Hi-Ball Ride Info and History - Flat Ride Friday 53

In 1948 a new experimental ride would be introduced by Hrubetz. This was the Hi-Ball, a take on the swinging rides of old but designed for traveling and with a new twist. The ride consisted of a large telescoping center pole that could spin. Attached to it was a carousel of 8 sweep arms, each with a track running along them from their inner edge to outer edge.
