The Sir David Amess Children's Parliament UK continues its mission to give young people a voice and create meaningful opportunities for the next generation. In this video, the Positive Action Roadshow brings together the Children’s Parliament, Essex Police and the Active Essex Foundation for a day focused on young people, community, opportunity, positive action and exploring Democracy and the rule of law. From building confidence and encouraging participation to showing children the different pathways and possibilities open to them, the roadshow reflects the values at the heart of the Children’s Parliament: giving young people a platform, listening to their ideas and helping them believe in what they can achieve. The initiative continues the legacy of the late Sir David Amess MP, who helped establish the Children’s Parliament with the belief that an understanding of democracy, community and public service should begin at an early age.
