THE K.O. MODEL — Guru Shapes The K.O. is our California longboard, brought up to date. Traditional lines, modern performance — built to work at point breaks and beach breaks alike. California roots, Australian influence, a little Caribbean spice. The design: A flatter bottom rocker with flip in the nose gets it down the line fast. Kick in the tail lets you turn it on a dime, and locks in the pocket. A medium concave runs forward and fades out around the middle of the board. Rails are 50/50 and foiled — not pinched — so it holds and releases where you want it to. Starting point dimensions: 9’6” x 23” x 3” — right in the traditional California longboard range. If you’re looking for a board that noserides but still lets you put it on rail and draw juicy turns — and is fast for what it is — this is the one. Shaped in Oceanside, CA.
