শেরপুরের ঝিনাইগাতী উপজেলার ধানশাইল ইউনিয়নের প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামীণ জনপদে সপ্তাহের দুই দিন—সোমবার ও শুক্রবার দুপুরের পর বসে কুচনিপাড়া হাট। চারপাশের সবুজ আমন ধানের ক্ষেত, বিল-জলাভূমি, মেঠোপথ ও গ্রামীণ বসতিকে ঘিরে গড়ে ওঠা এই হাটে আজও দেখা যায় বাংলার চিরায়ত গ্রামীণ বাজারের এক জীবন্ত রূপ। এই ডকুমেন্টারিতে আমরা কুচনিপাড়া হাটের পথে গ্রামের প্রকৃতি ও মানুষের জীবনযাত্রা থেকে শুরু করে ধাপে ধাপে হাটের বিভিন্ন অংশ ঘুরে দেখেছি। প্রথমে জমজমাট হাঁস-মুরগির বাজার, এরপর কৃষকের টাটকা শাকসবজি, তারপর দেশীয় মাছের সমৃদ্ধ বাজার। পাশাপাশি রয়েছে হাঁসের ডিম, কলা, নারকেল, তালসহ মৌসুমি ফল, পান-সুপারি, ঐতিহ্যবাহী মিষ্টি, খুরমা, জিলাপি ও নানা মুখরোচক খাবার। স্থানীয় কৃষি ও মাছ ধরার কাজে ব্যবহৃত বাঁশের তৈরি সরঞ্জামও এই গ্রামীণ হাটের নিজস্ব বৈশিষ্ট্যকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করেছে। খোলা আকাশের নিচে মাটির ওপর কৃষকের নিজের উৎপাদিত ফসল, গৃহস্থের পালন করা হাঁস-মুরগি ও ডিম, জলাভূমি থেকে আসা দেশীয় মাছ এবং আশপাশের গ্রামের মানুষের কেনাবেচা—সবকিছু মিলিয়ে কুচনিপাড়া হাট শুধু একটি বাজার নয়; এটি একটি প্রত্যন্ত জনপদের জীবন, কৃষি, অর্থনীতি ও গ্রামীণ ঐতিহ্যের মিলনস্থল। এই ভিডিওতে তাই আমরা শুধু বাজার দেখিনি; দেখেছি বাজারকে ঘিরে থাকা মানুষ, প্রকৃতি এবং বাংলার চিরায়ত হাটসংস্কৃতিকে। Kuchnipara Haat is a vibrant rural market located in Dhanshail Union of Jhenaigati Upazila, Sherpur, Bangladesh. The market takes place twice a week, on Monday and Friday afternoons, bringing together farmers, household producers, traders and shoppers from surrounding rural communities. In this documentary, we travel through the rural dirt roads, green Aman rice fields, wetlands and village landscapes before entering the lively Kuchnipara Haat. The journey continues through different sections of the market—starting with the busy duck and chicken market, followed by fresh seasonal vegetables, traditional native fish, duck eggs, bananas, coconuts, palm fruit, betel leaves and betel nuts. We also explore traditional sweets, khurma, jilapi and other local snacks, along with bamboo-made agricultural and fishing tools used in rural life. With its open-air setting, fresh farm produce, locally raised poultry, native fish and everyday village commerce, Kuchnipara Haat offers an authentic glimpse into the traditional rural market culture, agriculture, local economy and everyday life of Bangladesh.
